The dogs that we
raise are the
old-fashioned,
short-leg, long-back
type. The
original Jack
Russell was a
dual-purpose dog.
First and foremost,
it was a family dog,
and then a hunting
dog. One of
the greatest
attributes of these
little dogs is that
they bond to the
home. Great
Brook Jacks are
very safe around
small children and
all farm animals as
well as with other
dogs. Easy to
train, even easier
to love, you will be
amazed by their
intelligence,
loyalty and endless
ability to amuse and
charm you.

Your Great Brook
Jack Russell is
lovingly home
raised. Our
children play with
them as they grow.
The puppies are
handled and
cuddled every day
to ensure that
they will be
everything you
want in a dog.
We don't tuck our
puppies off in
some cold,
impersonal part of
the house.
They live in open
pens in our family
room, where they
become used to
household noises
and activity.
Their pens are
cleaned throughout
the
day with fresh
newspaper being
laid underneath
them for health
and sanitation.
We worm your new
puppy at least 3
times before they
go to your home.
We also administer
the initial
vaccination to
help your puppy
get a strong and
healthy start in
its new home.
Our puppies are
kept warm when
they need to be
and cooled when
the weather is too
hot. They are
fed the highest
quality all
natural food to
promote proper
physical growth.
We don't limit the
time that they are
allowed to have
their food.
Proper digestion
is nurtured by
being able to eat
at a relaxed
pace. There is no
pressure exerted
on their
developing
systems. And, of
course, the
puppies
always have free
access to fresh,
cool water.
At least three
times per day, the
puppies are set
loose in the house
to romp and play.
They experience
life with each
other and with
adult Jack
Russells.
These play
sessions last
about 1-2
hours....or until
the puppies fall asleep.
Our
puppies are born
in our bedroom
with heat lamps to
keep their bodies
warm and healthy.
The mothers are
not left alone to
fend for
themselves. They
are watched over
and comforted
throughout the
entire delivery.
The "nursery" is
kept clean at all
times. At Great
Brook Farm, we
believe that if we
enjoy all the
comforts of home,
so should our
dogs! Come and
